Sustainability Governance
Our Sustainability Strategic Policy generally lists our commitments in environmental, social and governance matters; it is reviewed and approved annually by the Group's CEO.

Aware of the impact of our activities in the countries in which we operate and consistent with our social origins, we are strengthening the Group's Sustainability strategy, aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals, a United Nations initiative for the benefit of people and the planet.
We contribute directly to the Sustainable Development Goals:
The sustainability governance of the group is the responsibility of the Sustainability Operating Committee, which works in coordination with the Diversity and Inclusion and Corporate Ethics Operating Committee.

Sustainable Finance
Committed to the development of entrepreneurs in Mexico, Compartamos Banco has issued four social bonds as of 2021, thus reaffirming the Bank's ability to access various sources of financing and maintain portfolio growth that has a positive impact on society.

As of 2020, we institutionalized our sustainability efforts by joining initiatives of national and international relevance.
In 2020, at Gentera we made a commitment to implement the 10 Principles of the Global Compact. Compartamos Banco signed the Banking Sustainability Protocol in 2016; in 2020, the Principles of Responsible Banking of the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative, UNEPFI, becoming the first microfinance institution to be part of this initiative. In 2022, it became a signatory of the Declaration in favor of the development of green and climate finance, as well as sustainable finance.
